Ideneb 1.6 help!!!!!!!!
I managed to install indeneb 1.6 on my HP DV7 laptop, however i have a few major problems.
the first being the keyboard and trackpad do not work. i have googled a fix that involve the installment of extensions, however when i go to install i get the following error message: extension failed, please try again. (somthing like that)
besides the keyboard and trackpad, the wi-fi and sound wont work either. (sound works, kinda. lots of static and distortion).
laptop specs:
hp pavillion dv7 entertainment pc
4gb ram
580gb HDD ( i added the 80gb for the mac)
Radeon HD 3200
2.2GHZ dualcore processor.

Hi,
Have you try VoodooPS2controller yet? Suppose that you use Kext Helper 7 to install the kexts and perform permission repar?

Hi,
How did you install your kexts? Kext helper 7 is the simple method to install your kexts. After installation, S/L/E needed to be permission repaired, kext caches cleaned, and extensions.mkext rebuilt. Hope this help.

manually, i went to the extensions folder and drag and dropped. then deleted the cache. but it keeps saying how installation failed even before reboot.
also, after i drag and dropped i did a drive fix (cleanup)

Hi,
Go to kexts.com, download kext helper 7 and your kb/mouse kext then just open kexthelper and drop your kext into it. Don't forget to repair permision, clean caches, and rebuild extension.mkext (or you could just delete that file as OSX will regenerate it).
Good luck,

Hi there,
I am glad that it works out. About the rest of your hardware, could you post your device ID? That will make it easier to see if a particular kext is compatible. Many times, vendors have their components made by other companies or even the same model could have different chipset.
