Smile iDeneb 1.5.1 Success Story: Gigabyte G31M-S2L

    Hey all..
Installed iDeneb 1.5.1 on my PC last week... Couldn't have been easier, everything works right out of the box.... (front usb ports don't work.... 4 on back do... may be the shitty old box I built this system in, or perhaps my wirring?)

    PC Specs:
    GA-G31M-ES2L motherboard rev 1
    Intel Dual-Core E5300 cpu 2.60GHz
    4GB ram DDR2 (2x 2GB)
    nVidia 512mb 8400GS video card
    SATA 500mb HD
    SATA dvd/cd rom burner

Burned iDeneb ISO with Nero v7. I wasn't able to burn a bootable image of iDeneb with MagicISO for some reason... No biggy, I suppose...

    Boot from DVD.

Use disk utility to mount (create) partition (journaled).

Select patition (image) to install OSX on...

Select customize before install..... and select:
    Vanilla Kernel
    Chamelion v2 bootloader.

    Select fix's:

    ICHx
    j*SOMETHING (something that starts with a J, I can't recall it's exact name...)

Audio: ALC662 (or your specific audio card)
    Video: nvidia and intel
PS2 fix (keyboard or mouse) if both, only select ONE.
Ethernet: Realtek (or whatever if you have a network card)
    Wireless: whatever

Only prob with this install is that I can't get the iPhone SDK to run properly.. iPhone simulator is just black when I try to run my code in it... So I'm going to try another install of iPC or something... Though you need 10.5.7 at least to install the iPhone SDK...
    Everything else works fine.

Default Also good install with iPC 10.5.6 MAC OS X Install DVD

With the same settings for my setup (voodoo kernel instead of vanilla [vanilla not an option]), I was also able to install iPC 10.5.6 easily on to this computer..

There was an automatic update to 10.5.7 when I first booted into the OS.. After the auto upgrade install, the computer booted up once - rebooted itself before going back in to the OS and now works fine....

I hope I can swear in this forum....
    I AM SO FUCKING HAPPY!!

The iPC install and upgrade now allows iPhone SDK 3.0 to run PROPERLY!!!! I just ran my app, and the simulator loaded it properly!! FUCKING SWEET.... This is the only reason I chose to switch to MAC..

I should note that my brother managed to get the iPhone SDK 3.0 working properly on his iDeneb GA mobo setup... I have no idea why it wouldn't work on mine - but im gonna stick with iPC since I can code and run the simulator properly..

UPDATE: scrolling in web browsers and moving windows around was messed up.. so I found and installed NVKush.kext (I got it from http://rs216.rapidshare.com/files/12...Vkush.kext.zip).. google NVKush.kext its related to the video.. anyways, problem solved, webbrowsers and windows are working fine now
