iDeneb 1.4 (Leopard 10.5.6 ) Install Success but Resolution & sound problem!
I need a bit of help.
I installed iDeneb 1.4 (Leopard 10.5.6 ), on my rig specs as follows.
Abit IP35 Pro
250GB Seagate HDD for OSX alone.
Now, the thing is, I understand that there is no Driver support fo the HD4870.
1) But is there a way to just manually set the resolution to 1680*1050?
Or will I have to wait for a 10.5.7 release where ive read that the HD4000 Series will be supported.
2) Also, I can seem to get my creative X-fi Platinum to work.
Are there drivers which support the X-fi?
Thanks for an help.
Well netkas have some progress with this Video using 10.5.7, check here, you can get more info on irc, irc.osx86.hu #radeonhd
Now about the Audio, nah no support yet, here a list of creative cards with full support
HP Pavilion Elite m9250f
Snow Leopard 10.6.6, Asus IPIBL-LB MOD BIOS, Intel Quad Core Q6600, 4GB RAM (800mhz), 2x500GB, nVidia 8600GT (Works), ALC888S (Works), Wireless RT73 (Works), LAN (Works) - How to Install

I have the exact same mobo (Abit IP-35 Pro).
iDeneb 1.4 works, IPC 10.5.6 works, Boot-132 + Retail Leo works.
The video support for HD4870 is unknown atm. I'm using an nvidia 9800.
I don't have the xfi platinum so I can't tell you. I use the onboard sound which is an ALC888 + azlia patch.
ps: can you shutdown, restart and sleep the computer ? I can't. BTW, what BIOS version are you using ?

I got the ATI Radeon HD 4870 running easily on my rig:
DFI Lanparty DK P45-T2RS
Intel C2D E8400 @stock
8GB Kingston HyperX
Gigabyte Radeon HD 4870
Samsung Random IDE DVD-burner
Western S-ATA2 discs all over
What method did you use to setup your 4870?
