Default iatkos v7 on a Dell Inspiron 1525

I have tried installing it make times and the farthest I got was the apple boot screen then the screen goes blank. I have tried -x -v, -x -v -f, -x -v -f cpus=1. You name it. Is there any specific thing I'm supposed to tick on configuration?

    Dell Inspiron 1525
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    BIOS Update A16
    230GB HDD

If you can post your specs, relevant to OSX installation, your setup, custom selection then it would help.
And your problem is at first reboot after successfully installing?

I used a Journaled and Case Sensitive partition. For the custom installation I chose the default configuration. Also after successfully installing I would either get a blue then black screen after the apple boot logo. Or I would get a reboot message.

Use HFS+ journaled if you could.
What is your video card? Any driver/kext selection for it? Boot options -x -v cpus=1 resulting in any error message, other than blue/black screen?

I've also tried journaled too. My video card would Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset family I guess. Another error would be firewire and something to do with directories I guess.

To fix the problem with blue/black screen, you may have to delete (or move out) those kexts, GMA950 and 3100 if those are what related to your video card, as OSX always could run in VESA mode, without any dedicated driver/kext. VESA is the mode that got you through booting and installation which could take you all the way to OSX desktop.
