ok so lets try this forums. ive been to 3 different forums and no one wants to help so ill give it a shot here. i did my best to do this on my own and not asking for help but its not working. lets start by saying these are my specs:

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
Intel Q9300
Nvidia e-Geforce 8600 GT
4GB PC2-8500
Segate 1 TB sata
Linksys WMP54GS

I am gonna tell you straight up that Kalyway DOES indeed work for my system but I want to try iAtkos. I have had good results in the past and it seems like it would be faster so I just wanna TRY! my main problem is choosing the correct configuration upon installation. I have tried everything I could think of. No luck. I get the gray apple logo then the circle with the line through it comes up. Picture here:



I can not get past that screen. I first used these settings:

C EFI V9 (bootloader)
dsmos (decrypters)
SMBIOS-EFI (SMBIOS drivers)
9.2.0 Kernel ToH (kernel)

this caused the "circle with line through it" screen. then I found this on a forum and thought i would use these settings.



this ALSO gave me the "circle with line through it". so someone said to try

"That was it, all I had to change was the PC EFI v9 to Chameleon, all other settings stay the same, and it worked! Of coarse when I updated now the ICH9R and JMicron get lost to Unknown! Minor issue, track down the correct kext and all is good."

this also gave me the "circle with line through it". get the trend? so basically i have tried everything my little brain could think of. tried -v, -f, -x, -s. heres what i got with -v:



maybe there is stuff that i am still missing? i dunno. if someone could help, i would REALLY REALLY appreciate it. if not, then i give up and ill go to Kalyway. thanks in advance!

Man theres guides for your Mobo, so weird to see you here, anyway check this guide and good luck, your mobo is fully compatible

i already tried those guides. it doesnt work for iatkos. you know what, forget it. im just gonna stick with Kalyway. it works good. i dunno why i am complaining. its probably the same thing. okay, enough. maybe my new book "predictable irrational" will help me understand why i need iatkos vs kalyway.

Well i gave up on iATKOS. i dont think it was meant to be. I reinstalled Kalyway and everything is good. im on 10.5.6. now i have two small problems. Video card.

I managed to install the necessary driver and enable QE/CI and QuartzGL too. the problem is that when i start up my hackintosh after the grey apple logo it takes ~2 minutes to load. i get a solid black screen for those to 2 minutes then after the 2 min i see my cursor and it boots normally. im not exactly sure why this happens and whatever i found on online doesnt show me a fix. i do have a problem with my sound but im doing what i can to fix it myself. if i dont, then ill post up. the video is kind of annoying so if someone can help me i would appreciate it. im almost done with it!!

Well dunno if theres problem in 10.5.6 with this Card, I have the same video card, Try here, and whats your audio chipset?

for the video here is the fix:

you need to delete AppleHWSensor.kext from the extensions folder. that cleared it right up.

as for the audio, i installed it correctly but i selected the wrong output in the system preferences. thanks anyway.

one problem that is not fixing itself is the USB. i cant get them all to work. say i have my mouse plugged in, it would work fine. but when i try to plug in my external HDD it wont detect it. same for my USB thumb drive. i used the osx86 tools to download the correct kext and install them, it will work for that moment. then if i restart the computer it will stop working. any solution for that? ill post up my chipsets and device ID in a bit. not actually at the hackintosh pro yet.
