iatkos v1 VS iatkos v7 driver question
i successfully instally iatkos v1.0i and i had sound, and internet working after the install.
now after almost succesfully instralling v7, i have no soud or internet. how do i go about adding and/or extracting the drivers? it makes sense to me i should be able to get them from v1 somehow since i already know they work.
i'm just not sure how to proceed and am looking for a how to, or some tips, or whatever info the community might have

if you have your drivers go with OSX86 tools or Kext Helper

well thats kind of my problem. i know for a fact that the iatkos v1.0i had the right drivers because audio worked it played music during the install and had internet (via ethernet- this is a compaq presario 6000 desktop) working immediately after loading up the OS gui.
so naturally i assumed on iatkos v7 it would be the same result. but i have neither. so my question is more specifically how do i extract the drivers from the v1 file.
i understand osx86 tools or kext helper will help me install them, but i nee to retrieve the drivers first from the v1 disc first. is it possible to use the v1 disc over the v7 install and install ONLY the audio and internet drivers?

ethernet is a realtek rtl8139 pci family fast ethernet nic. its even listed as an option on the v7 disc but for whatever reason, no dice. whatever its installing comes up looking like a modem. i tried reinstalling the driver but no luck. i always deselect post install script and obviously i deselect main os.
audio looks to be legacy, with a possibility of being realtek a'c97 audio. but i'm going with legacy on this one.
they are NOT pci cards, they are onboard motherboard chipsets

i will try the realtek solution offered it looks promising.
for the audio i'm already using voodooHDA. to my recollection when i visited it in the preference plane it said said something about an error to register IO path or something to that effect. if that gives any cule as to whats going on i can get an excact quote.
would you say its worth trying to install an audio driver from the v1 disc? or would that be more problematic than anything?

ill have to check and run the v1 dvd to see the option. or maybe from the burn file. i'll report back on that.
i'm still working on the internet thing. whats holding me up is that apparently i don't have a valid root password.
is there one by default on the iatkos v7? cuz i need it to change ownerships etc on the realtek kext file
