iAtkos Snags at Apple Introduction
I probably could of sat and read through all of the threads but I felt I was important enough to create my own. I spent all day getting through those booting errors, reinstalling a billion times. So after finally figuring all the errors out I decided to completely start over. After it all installs perfectly and I make all the boot edits. I boot it up. It goes to the gray apple loader screen with the circle loader. Then the loader freezes and nothing happens. I left it for a good 30 minutes not moving before I gave up (did this a bunch of times). I put my specs below, any help would be great. Thanks
Gateway M-6755 NoteBook
Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66G
3GB DDR2
Intel GM965
iATKOS v1.0i
If you need more here is a old newegg link to my laptop:

Thanks for the quick reply! I went ahead and tried the command. After some dazzling commands went through it took me to a infinite blue screen. I waited about 5 minutes or so and nothing happened, nor could I hear my disk spinning. I am up for any other suggestions.
Thanks.

I did what you said, I was able to boot in and I installed the drivers. Now I was not fully sure how to do the repair permissions (new to mac). So I looked it up and was told to do
When I ran this I got a error message:
Kernel overflows available space
This is a 12gb partition.

@.o well with that space and just the OS installed, I think is ok for now, but you got the your video working now? to repair permissions go to disk utility and repair the permissions and restart then try to boot normally.

So now after doing the repair and rebooting normally. It went to the apple loader screen and this time it told me to reboot. So I did and the next time it froze just like before (the loader stopped spinning). I am pretty sure I installed the video driver correct. Dragged the file in the unzipped to the one thing.
Thanks
EDIT: I was able to boot using -x only with out the -v

Ok please take a screenshot of system profile with your graphic card to know if your getting good video support. to take the screenshot press If you dont wanna have any more problems with this, or mess to fix this, just download another distro, like iatkos v5i...

I think I will go ahead and try a newer release. A few other problems are that I am having to use a usb keyboard, my laptop one is not picking up and my wifi card either. Do you think I will have these problems when trying a newer release though?

Well yeah this is because that distro is really old, no much drivers, but this new version support alots of stuff, you wont have USB problems, about your wifi, whats the chipset? remember to customize your installation with the new release, and select X3100 for your video and try to make a bigger partition? be nice is OSX
good luck and cya soon
