Good morning,

First, my set-up:

DELL XPS 420:
Chipset: X38
Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 - 2.40 GHz
Dell BIOS A07
4.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS - 256 MB

SATA0: 500 GB (Windows 7)
SATA1: Optiarc CD/DVD Drive
SATA4: 160 GB (Leopard 10.5.7 - or at least that's the goal...)

Issue #1:

My iATKOS 5i (10.5.7) install has been halting at this error:

mDNSResponder[22]: WARNING: sandbox_init error Could not set Mach
lookup policy for service com.apple.bsd.dirhelper err=1100Could not set

Here are the customizations that I used in that install:
PC EFI V9
AppleDecrypt
(added SMBIOS-EFI)
9.5.0 Kernel Voodoo
Stock ACPI Modified
Disabler.Kext
ATI
SATA/IDE > Intel SATA
NTFS-3G

I've tried iATKOS 7i (10.5.7) and that install has gotten to this point:

Customizations: I've tried many all the way to none, same issue every time.

[HCIController][configurePM] power parent ready after 1 tries
Still waiting for root device.

Issue #2:

My display blacks-out during the install process. I've been able to get as far as customization and a full install with iATKOS 5i & iATKOS 7i, with the blackout happening during the install process. I've found that putting the install CD in verbose mode gives me more time before the blackout, but I fear this may be a problem that is going to resurface in the future...

When I say, "blacks-out", I am referring to the monitor going into power-save mode while my video card fan starts simultaneously. My best guess is that the card is overheating, but I can't be sure. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for help!
