Default Iatkos i5 10.5.5 install successful boot unsuccessful

Ok so i go through all the motions of installing and it says that it installed fine but when i take the cd out and boot it just gives me the apple logo bg and thats it.

I tried using the -v @ bootup and it tells me that EHCI is unable to take control from the bios appleusbehci[0x3aa9800] etc etc oh and @ the bottom it says ACPI CA 20060421

so thats one of my problems the other is when i started to look into it i ran -v @ install and there were a load of errors there too saying something to the effect of skipping duplicate extension com.apple.driver.applepciconfigurator.

How did you customize your installation? is this ich9? ich#? do you have AHCI Sata Support? XD bit Enabled? in the BIOS?
