Well, you can try use other version of OSX86 DVD.
Nothing other way to try.

Worked with Leo4All V3 DVD. Now got other issues (no CD/DVD Drive, no network) but still managed to get it loaded. I guess I have to play around with KEXTS and drivers on the install now.. something to do when I have a bit more time to play with it.
I wanted this last weekend so I could use the pwntool, instead I used my mates MacBook to do that. Using the PC seemed a little too risky with the instabilities I had.

i'm also experiencing a roadblock with this problem, I have tried pretty much all the suggestions but still can't install.
My machine is an Asus V1S if that helps.

I am getting the following error:
Extention "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immidiate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style
Following this error I just get a solid block, no prompt and have to turn the machine off as it completely fails to respond to anything.
I have iATKOS V4i
My machine is an Asus V1S currently running Vista Business 32bit.
I used disc manager to shrink my current vista drive and now I have 10gb un-allocated space.
These are the details of my machine that I can find from vista.
More details about my computer

This trick doesn't work on DVD boot. If you has this bug, need test other OSX86 DVD version.

So far I have tried V1i and V4i after burning the iso's to dvds and booted them and have the exact same errors, I have V2i also but can't be bothered to burn it tonite as I know it will not work.
Perhaps if someone who knows exactly what this error is about could explain it to us maybe we can find a step forward.
Thanks guy for your help.

If you has this error when boot DVD, nothing to do, is a incompatibility with your machine and need try other version.
If you has this error when boot installed system on HDD, follow this method: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...ad.php?t=43669

Hi,
concernign this error "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin", I get it also on my Asus W7J.
I have tried to install from Kalyway 10.5.2 but it hangs on boot from dvd, due this error.
I have then mounted the iso in linux and have deleted the extension plugins that define that plugin.
Then I have succeeded to install the OS on my laptop, but then on reboot from HD, it crashes due to the same error.
I have seen that there is a method, to remove it, but I can even reach a prompt to execute it !
So is there a special command after F8 I can type to avoid the loading of the faulty plugin to be abble to reach a real prompt and then remove the .kext that cause the problem ?
Thanks for any advice !
