    I reinstalled iAtkos with the Intel Sata driver instead of the Intel Sata AHCI driver and still get the hanging black screen after the reboot.
    Would I possibly have better luck getting a retail version of osx and using the boot-132 option instead?

    To choose beetween them, you have to know your hardware... your mobo is iCh9, you have to use Intel SATA AHCI with AHCI Enable in the BIOS, you can use everest to know this... and yeah you can use retail with 132 bootloader, but like I say you better start checking you hardware...

    btw: Did you enable it? did you found XD bit or Execute Disabled in your BIOS? did you Enable it?

    try this, when darwin appear type this.
    cpus=1 -v
    If it get stuck or get any error please post back or take a pic

    P.S. Someone report success with kalyway

    I found the No-Execution thing and is enabled. I reinstalled iAtkos with the Intel Sata AHCI driver and made sure I enabled that mode in my BIOS. I am able to get past the gray apple screen but only to a hanging black screen every time now and I don't get any errors when I type cpus=1 -v when it gets to Darwin. It loads everything and goes to a black screen with that way as well.
    To make sure I have AHCI enabled correctly this need to be set right?

    Both the Sata RAID/AHCI Mode and Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode need to be set to AHCI right?

    As for the Kalyway version I have had 10.5.2 in a stable working condition each time I install it, but can't get it to upgrade.

    To update follow the guide in the sticky, if your using kalyway, you need kalyway combo update 10.5.3, then jump to 10.5.5
