Default HP Compaq Mini 702EA PC

    Hi,

Has anyone tried to Hackintosh this model? I know the Dell Mini 9 seems to be the best bet, but it is easier for us to get one of these.

Any help would be most useful. What am I looking for when looking at the specs of the PC?

    Best wishes

    Michael

    Hmm... no reply...

OK, I can actually answer my own question now
    (bazcurtis, if you're still around?)

The Compaq 702EA is a clone of the HP Mini 1000 (or the other way around, depending on your perspective)

And it appears that the HP 1000 is a pretty good candidate for a for a full Mac 'Hack-over'

According to the 'Mac OS X Netbook Compatibility Chart' on "boingboing.net" The HP 1000 ranks up well, it says there's a problem with sound, but according the page Boingboing links to this too has now been fixed.
It also mentions possible problems with Ethernet but that's appearently been fixed too.

The full 'walk-through' can be found here

    HP 1000 into MacNetbook

I'm going to have a crack at this hack and I'll report back now it goes

    Andy
