    Unhappy How to install leopard on aspire 8920g

    well,i instaled kalyway 10.5.2 on acer aspire 8920g and after the install finished,the pc restarted,then i choose the language ,after this, mac ask's if i wan t to transfer or not data from another mac ,i choose NO,and after this thing it stay's a short time there(where to transfer or not),and it start's all again from language choice.sorry for my bad english.please help.bye

    I was getting the same... I gave up and tried iDeneb, but im having issues there too!!

    when i popped my cherry with OSX86, I got exactly the same ... it will not proceed ( believed it's the same Kalyway ) tried another distro and got better results ... ]

    If you insists on using that distro, you can "manually" bypass that ( but then you need to setup your user accounts etc ) by tricking OSX into thinking the setup is completed ( when it's actually not ).

    Boot in single user more with -s

    you'll get the command prompt ... now fsck the disk with thecommand

    fsck -fy

    when done then mount the root with

    mount -uw /

    now create the "trick" file

    touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

    now set the root password with

    passwd

    then reboot

    the best thing is to find another distro .. iPC Universal looks good
