How to get all cores working on AsRock 4Core1600Twins
Ok i've got a problem Mac runs fine but only when cpus=1 -f is in my bootflag, but this means i got only 1 of my 4 cores working. And when i delete it from the bootflag it just keeps restarting when i see the boot screen.
My hardware:
Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz@3.03Ghz
4Gb DDR2 1066Mhz
4Core1600Twins-P35 Bios V:1.60
Chipset: Intel P35/G33/G31
Chipset: Intel ICH9

Theres 2 options to install on this mobo:
1- Install OSX Retail, if you wanna do this, start reading, check the munkys guide in the tutorial section here, and google alot ;P
2- MOD your BIOS, if you decide to MOD, is easy but read just in case, check here to get your BIOS
Good Luck

Ok i modded my bios, and i am sure the modding worked as it went from 1.60 to 1.50. But i still need to type cpus=1 -f to boot. Or do i need to re-install Mac osx?
-
you may want to look at certain settings for the CPU in the bios.
Turn off things like virtualization, Hyperthreading ...
That may help

Disable and enabled almost all of the settings that looked reasonable. But they all don't work it still reboots.
And about the Retail Leopard booting. I am sorry to say but all those "tutorials" are to different and to confusing and outdated. Some sed i needed a special Jmicron boot file but when i click the link it says page cannont be found.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to google a bit, or check the HCL surely you will find someone with the same mobo, you can ask him for this issue, your doing something wrong cuz at this point you should be able to install any distro. About Retail, just need to read alot.

Should be in your bios settings,
Look for Execute bit disabling, and HPET is normally in the acpi settings, both of these must be enabled.
However, some boards don't have these features visible & normally are turned on minus XD
