Hey Everyone, OSX on LaptopPC help
Hey everybody, new member here. I have an Acer Aspire 5532 Laptop running on Windows7 that I would like install the mac operating system. I also want the option of dualboot.
Now I did search for my laptop on here and no results, I also browsed the tutorials section and only found 1 sticky but that was for a Desktop (maybe the same but it mentioned "couple of HDs").
Is there anybody that can try and guide me to the programs/software that I would need. I already have the Mac OS dvds, and just restored my Laptop to factory settings (format-restore) so I'm running on a clean slate.
Where I really get confused is the drivers and stuff for the hardware
, I honestly just get a headache when I start reading that.
Again I'd appreciate any and all help, links, stickies, basicly anything that can help me do this.
If anyones wondering I just picked up a 3gs iPhone and have an iPhone4 on the way, and I really love the simplicity of the way it works. I want my computer to be able to sync with the phones and iTouch flawlessly.
Thanks again

This is hackintosh that you're into, so reading and trying may not be avoidable.
If you search for the exact model did not turn out well, then search for system specs. Unless your computer is one of a kind, there should be some guide/method/help somewhere.
You did not post your specs as relevant to OSX installation, so the response is fairly generic.

I did read, a whole bunch of stuff. I found the dual boot-up thing very simple to understand...but when it came to the OSX installation there was in ( ) "theres already tons of these" or something similiar to that.
Heres my specs, I also did a search for Acer and Acer Aspire and only came across threads where the user already installed it and came to ask questions regarding errors.

Thats my spec list as far as I know, I really DO appreciate your reply. Now that I have that typed out I will search on an individual basis and see if I can get a better lead. But if you happen to know of any "For Dumbies" guides on this pleace can I have the link. I really am not up to speed with computers anymore(havent played with them for 7 or 8 years) and am a complete newb to apple.
Thank You

For installation, find out for yourself these.
The board chipsets, if its BIOS is AHCI supported under SATA option.
HDD and DVD type, SATA/IDE?
Also depends on Leopard or SL that you like to install.
For quick familiarity, check under Leopard tutorial for iDeneb 1.4 installation walkthrough.
You could be better with iAtkos S3 v2 Snow Leopard 10.6.3
