Please reply and thank you for your help!
That looks pretty similar to my spec, although not completely. I know iDeneb comes with GO drivers and works fine with Intel, and I also think Broadcom is one of the less problematic Wi Fi cards to get working.
Try iDeneb. I went for iDeneb 1.4 then updated to 10.5.7 with the iDeneb updater.
You may well bet a black screen on install even if it was successful. This you would need to Google but there's loads of tricks with NVIDIA cards.
I got a POS Dell 2200. Far from what you got but I started with iDeneb 10.5.6 and it installed with little to no trouble at all.
Because I'm an idiot however, I wanted to upgrade to the 10.5.8 version because of the latest version of Safari and iTunes. Why, I don't know cause I don't use iTunes. On the 10.5.6 version, everything worked for me including sleep...10.5.8 however, the freakin' sleep won't work.
Personally, I'd suggest the iDeneb distro. I'd also go with the iDeneb lite 10.5.8 version that was recently released. But any iDeneb distro will probably work for you and work well too. Just be prepared to install it about 25 times until you figure out what fixes and all you need to get it working. And after the first successful install, remember to hit F8 and type in -cpus=1 to get it to boot (if it is going to boot that is) or you'll be posting again wanting to know why it won't boot.
Sorry that my input is crap...
