i have tried installing atokos of different versions on my
sony vaio PCG-GRT250P
and one version installs but never boots to the hard drive.
is this laptop supported?
what can i do to get it to boot once the install is done?

If I were you, I would try the iPC 10.5.6 Final release distro. None other distros worked for me. Boot from cd with: cpus=1 -v

ok i did the install without the extra software boxes checked..and now it is boot looping what can i do to fix this?

the first time i tried to install i selected the extra software and the install failed
however i may need the extra stuff..

just basic options nothing fancy..my IPC did not have alot of options

Intel P4 2.6 ghz
l2 cache 512kb
512 mb ram so-dimm
Nvidia geforce4 420 go (i think)
sound AC97
80 gig hard drive (not sata)

Anyway for this you will need to install a patched kernel like voodoo or speedstep, you will need support for IDE, are you using ps/2 keyboard and mouse? you need to select voodoops2 or Ps2 fix, your video card, audio chipset and lan

what version?? IPC or iatokos? something else?

nah they didnt work with that version I think for tiger you can work with JaS or XxX (yes is a distro), or just keep trying with leopard

i found all the option on the ipc disk which one do you think i need to check off for my stats
