Default Help needed, now I'm out of ideas or knowledge

    Pioneer 110D ATA
    Asus P5Q-E
    8Gb DDR2 800
    Q9550 Intel Quad
    Onboard Audio
    250Gb Western Digital SATA
    XFX GF9600 GSO

I can't seem to get any version of Leopard, to work on my setup. The latest Kalyway version just gives me 'Waiting for root device' which from what I read means I most probably need an SATA drive. I've also tried various ideneb; v1.3 & V1.4 and although the install goes well, when I reboot it hangs on grey Apple splash screen. -v reveals no errors with the last lines being something like " MAC Framework Successfully Initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers" - I've tried loads of different 'customise' options that seem to make no difference, other than different ways of it failing.
It just sits there and does nothing. I hear that I may have to mod my bios to get this to work, but I'm yet to find a bios download that I'm willing to trust[since most of the unpack corrupted]. As for iPC, I can't seem to get the disc to boot at all. I'm obtaining another iPC version as we speak, but it's going to take me a while to obtain it.

To sumarise, I'd like to know if anyone else has an OSX86 installation on a P5Q-E mainboard and what they used or did to get it to work. Any or help is appreciated too, regarding my array of installation problems. Thanks.

Ok, so. I thought I'd update my own post, so it doesn't just become another question drifting in an endless sea of questions.

In the end I used ideneb v1.4 but to get it to boot after install, I had to flash my bios. Everything I needed I found here:

InsanelyMac Forum > MAC OS X LEOPARD RETAIL ON ASUS P5Q / P5Q PRO / P5Q-EM AND OTHERS

    and here

    -_- P5Q PRO & MAC OS X Leopard 10.5.5 (9F33) Retail -_- - InsanelyMac Forum

clicked a few option on install in 'customize' like nvinject and left 9.6.0 vanilla kernel - searched around and found drivers for sound and reading NTFS drives and now, I'm amazing that nearly everything works fine, even software updates( although I think I installed a patch for this in customise too)-FCP seems fine too The only thing that doesn't work is that when I shutdown my computer it doesn't kill the power to the cpu. I think I may have found a fix for this too, but the description given to the patch is a bit vague and I don't want to disrupt an otherwise near perfect working OSX86 system by installing it, any advice on that matter would be appreciated.
