Default Help Needed: iATKOS v5i on Sony VGN-NR220E

I have a Sony VGN-NR220E and I'm trying to install iATKOS v5i but have been having problems.
    Here are the specs:

    CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2330 1.6GHz
    Front Side Bus: 533 MHz
    L2 Cache: 1 MB

    Memory: 2GB DDR2 PC2-4200 533MHz

Hard Drive: Seagate 160GB 5400RPM SATA

Optical Drive: Meets requirements, no problems booting off disc.

    Graphics:
Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
    Graphics Memory: 251MB
Chipset: Mobile Intel GL960 Mobile Chipset

LET ME KNOW IF MORE SPECS ARE NEEDED, I WILL TRY TO FIND THEM.
Followed this guide: Hack Attack : Dual Boot Leopard and Windows Vista | dailyApps

    SETUP:

1st: I used iATKOS v5i and burned it to a DVD-R using IMGBurn at 1x.

2nd: I booted off the DVD and hit F8 at DarwinX86 then -v

3rd: ran the DISK UTILITY to format the Partition to MAC OS X Journaled Extended.

    Then Customized as follows:
    Bootloader: PC_EFI
    SMBIOS: EFI AIR (for laptops)
    Kernels: ToH 9.2.0
    ACPI: ACPI Stock
    VGA: Intel X3100
    SATA: Intel AHCI SATA
    Laptop Battery: Yes
    Network: Marvel Yukon 88E8001

    The Problems:
The first time I installed I had slightly different settings but would get the Gray Apple screen on bootup and it would have the little flower loader thing moving then after about a minute and a half a little white box with a circle in it and a slash through the circle appeared over the apple, then it just did nothing.

    The Second
time etc. I would use the settings above and the it would boot to the apple screen then go to a light blue screen then go to a white artifact looking screen where two gray bars would start to appear on the right portion of the screen. Not graphically, but kinda like pixels filling in vertically. like it was artifacting.

This is why I need your help, Im really not sure what else to do, I just wanna get my Mac OS X working. I've put many hours into it this week and it feels like wasted time now since I can't get it working. Your help is very much appreciated, no matter how big or small, it will help me to get to a working setup.

    Thanks all!

ok, I tried those settings, after install the PC went to reboot, I removed the disc, then it came up with a "boot0" error at the top left of the screen. weird, wouldn't even go into my Vista. then I started it up again with the disk in the drive and it went to the gray apple loading screen and sat there for a little bit then went back to the installer. So i went and deleted the OSX partiton and then used Fdisk program to make vista my active partition to fix the boot error. boots to vista again, but get boot0 mbr boot0 done error, got in vista and used easybcd to rewrite my bdc setting so now it boots ok into Vista, but still no OS X.

    OK, last try for tonight.
    Customized as follows:
    iAtkos v5i Main System
    Bootloader:
    - PC Efi v9
    X86 Patches:
    - Decrypters:
    -- AppleDecrypt
    - SMBIOS Drivers:
    ---SMBIOS Enablers:
    --- SMBIOS-EFI AIR (laptops)
    -Kernels:
    --None
    - Disabler.kext
    - OHR.
    -ACPI:
    --ACPI stock Modified

    Drivers:
    - VGA
    -- Intel X3100
    ---EFI String for Intel

    System:
    - SATA/IDE:
    -- Intel SATA
    -Laptop Battery

    Network:
    -Marvel Yukon 88E8001

That is everything. Just clicked to run install, installing...still installing... ok, it finished, now its at the Successfully installed screen with the countdown to restart, I tell it to restart (mind you, with the disc still in the system) and then it boots to the x86 Darwin bootloader, I remove the DVD then it goes to the gray apple screen, and the flower loader goes for about 15 seconds then I get the message that I need to restart my computer. Turn it off, then reboot, goes to Darwinx86 boot, I hit a key to see options, I choose leopard install, then...gray apple screen again, loading...then I get the circle with the slash through it over the top part of the apple, but the flower loader is still moving, gonna wait five minutes. Waiting...ok, waited six minutes, no change in the screen. At least I can see something on the screen with this custimization, but, all I gotta figure out now is how to get it to startup and work right.

HUGE thanks to icchansan for all your help so far!

one thing that I can see, because it happened to me, is that you need to either reinstall with thet AHCI driver under the SATA driver area, or go into your BIOS and switch from AHCI mode to IDE mode. (In my BIOS there is a SATA Mode: with choices for either IDE or AHCI modes.)

I had the same problem as you and cured it it with a BIOS switch. I ended up flaming my install and on next install selected the AHCI driver in the customize section and have had no problems since. (of course you have to swithch your BIOS setting back to AHCI from IDE. Hope this helps. Let me know.

Wow, thanks dude, I really appreciate your response, I'm gonna give that a try and I'll post back. Thanks

OK so first try is using all the same settings as above but changing the SATA setting to AHCI. Once I did this it went to the gray loading screen and then to the blue screen for like 3 secs then to the white screen that looks like its artifacting.\

I tried it again after I made sure that the AHCI controller driver was updated and then it did the same thing.

I then tried to install it with not choosing a SATA or IDE driver and it gave me the first problem in the last post. The gray apple loading screen with the O and the slash through it.

See the problem is that my BIOS will not give me any other options other than changing the date, time, bios password and boot sequence. Ghey

I feel like giving up, but I won't...I can't. lol

Keep trying with the setting that gives you artifact. I have that same problem from time to time. I have no idea what causes it, but it takes up to 3 or 4 reboots to get past it but it does get pass it.

Let me know. My artifact screen is mostly gray with a black streak that appears right of center. Must be a hiccup in the video kext?
