Default Help needed, how to regain admin rights

Sorry if it's a noob question: I've upgraded my OSx86 system to 10.5.7 with iAtkos release (install/upgrade). All went smooth, but now I'm stuck with an ordinary account with no admin rights and no way to install news apps, etc.

When I try to change my status in SysPref, of course I'm asked admin's name and PW. Fact is, I know for sure the PW, but it looks like any name won't do.

    IMHO there are two chances:
1 - I forgot the admin name I used first during installation (likely... )
2 - something changed without me knowing during upgrade. As suggested, at the end of 10.5.7 upgrade I resetted the PW before rebooting, but in the procedure there was nothing whatsoever regarding admin's name.

Is there a way out this hassle? Or a way to know which is the admin's name saved in the system?

Thanks for any of you who takes the time to give me a helping hand.

Try using "root" as the admin name. Hope this helps.

Boot again with your iATKOS DVD.
Under Utilities Menu choose Reset Password".
Reset passwords and directory permissions of all users and root.
    Quit Installer to reboot.
