Help Installing on Sony Vaio VGN-FJ150
Hello,
Well I've been trying to get this to work for a week off and on trying new distro's and searching the forums like a mad man, so now I'm posting hoping to resolve this problem.
I've tried these Distro's with no luck without ktext files:
Kalaway 10.5.2 Intel/AMD
iATKOS_5i
iPC 10.5.6 Intel AMD SSE2 SSE3
All have frozen after the spinning apple logo circle except Kalaway.
Now in order for me to get past the Spinning Logo or the Blue screen I have to use the Boot - 132 disk for use with the retail Leopard DVD, which I own and have family license(So I though lets try it on an old sony laptop).
So I pop in the Boot-132 disk, once it get the screen to boot from dvd I swap in the Kalaway 10.5.2 DVD and I choose my language but aren't able to customize the install, or choose what I want installed, like i've seen in every video tutorial.
So I just continue, and it goes installing fine like on my Macbook, then as it gets to 75% done, it just reboots, no idea why, tried 3 times and gave up.
So now I'm downloading iDeneb v1.4 hoping maybe I can get around add/installing ktexts as I have never done it, or know where to find the right ktexts or drivers.
Here's a list of the laptops specs
Wireless - IntelŪ PRO/Wireless 2200BG
Network - RealtekŪ RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet
Graphics - IntelŪ 915PM 915GM Chipset
Processor - Intel Pentium M 1.73GHz
DVD/CDROM - Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K16D
IDE Controller - Intel 82801FBM Ultra ATA
Hard Drive - Toshiba MK8032GSX 80gb
Thanks in advance!
