(Help)Installing Leopard Correctly With iDeneb
Again forgive me if I posted in the wrong place. So I tried using iDeneb it seems to run perfectly such as showing the screens. The only thing I need help with is where I install it to. I have made a partion so now I have a Local disk C and a K.
I only have one harddrive so what will I install it to when it asks what harddrive just first and will it ask me what partion I want it on it said like one My harddrive disc01 and disc05 I beleive so how to I instsall it to that when it prompts me? I haven't formated my harddrive and I dont want to. But what would be the codes I'll have to type because I belive in iDeneb you have to type in some commands also will this damage my computer in any way because my dad isn't happy about me doing this because he says it's only supposed to run on a mac and it will ruin your computer so can someone explain this to me?
EDIT:When I go to my computer I have a local disk C and a K it's under the hard disk drives does that mean they are seperate harddrives

Well if you make another partition in the same HDD, it wont be a problem, the installation wont screw your hardware in anyway, after installation it will screw your windows bootloader but this is easy to repair, with the windows installation disc.
Now boot into OSX using your Ideneb distro, then after selecting your language.
Use Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. In Disk Utility, Select your Partition, and format you should choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Then quit Disk utility and select the destination, customize your installation, and good luck

Well i installed Mac OS as said before and it did screw my win xp bootloader. I inserted the xp disk tried to fix it through the recovery console, i even tried to run the windows recovery on the hard drive where the windows were installed. Well the outcome was the same: boot0 failure and then no os in the boot disk or sth like that. I read about this message on a thread but since i cant boot win xp there is nothing i can do. I formated the partition and installed windows again. The partition with of osx is still ok with leopard in it. If i follow the procedure of repairing boot0 will it be ok or, should i install osx again?

weird thing about your Xp, anyway dont need to reinstall OSX, just manage the dual boot with xp doing this, is really easy, just have to edit the boot.ini, good luck and report back your progress

OK. i really managed to dual boot osx and xp but what you told me before didn't work at all. It prompted the xp bootloader but when i selected Mac os x it just refused to start osx and did nothing. So erased eveithing on my disk, used disk utility in iDENEB installation, created a new partition table, installed fisrt OSX and then xp. Copied chain0 and finally managed to boot to OSX. But my quest is far from over.SIGH! It DID boot to OSX but showed only a the white screen with the mac apple. I restarted and used the parameter -v. The i saw that it stack at the following message:
"MAC framework succesfully initialized
using 16384 bufer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers"
nothing from that point on.
PLEASE HELP! I was on tha brink of enjoying OSX and then this happened. I wanna cry. :p
Does this maybe means that iDENEB doesnn't suit for me?
thanks again for your precious help.
