I have been trying to hackintosh this gateway 500se I have, just for fun. it is a 1.6GHz Pentium 4 with 256mb of ram. I can confirm that it is possible but for the life of me I cannot figure out how as said in this article he used IATKOS V7, I have tried that and many others such as IPC, Kalyway, Leo4all, IATKOS V5i, And Jas 10.4.8 even. as well as a few ordinary boot loaders such as boot-132, iboot etc. with no success. no boot loaders worked but oddly enough almost all of the hacked install discs booted and installed with no issues at all but all except Jas (which hangs at "login window application started) and IATKOS V7 (which hangs at the apple and wont even show the spinning thing or boot into verbose mode) would not boot. every other one would start loading and then shortly after the computer would restart and do the same thing over and over again. I know it has to be something with the drivers I select in the installer, but thats just the problem! I am fairly new to hackintoshing as I am a Mac user and just thought it would be fun to play around with (or possibly even make a pc run a decent OS). anyway, can anyone tell me the drivers I will need or help me figure them out?

I really appreciate any feed back on this topic

Also it doesn't really matter to me what version of osx I install but I would prefer leopard or snow leopard.

P.S. i would have contacted the guy who wrote the above article but his profile says he has not logged on since 2010 so I think it would be a lost cause.

Thanks,
