Default Hardware problems / Custom PC - AMD Phenom 9550

I've searched all over the internet and all I get is different distros for each component of my computer. I'm just confused. How do I make it work?

    Processor: AMD Phenom 9550
    Graphics Card: Nvidia 9600GT (1GB)
    Motherboard: according to belarc;
Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. M3A Rev 1.xx
    Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 0702 03/14/2008
Networking: Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Controller
Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio ALC883

I have 2 SATA Hard drives, 500GB each, one with vista, one empty & unformatted.
I have 1 IDE DVD drive and 1 SATA DVD drive.

It's a completely custom made PC so it's impossible to find anyone with exactly the same components as me with the same problems I've had.

I tried iATKOS and it didn't boot.
I tried iDeneb v.5 10.5.5; seemed to install fine, but I kept getting SIGSEGV errors.

Can someone PLEASE help me find the right OSx86 distribution and lead me through what I need to do? I really want to get off this Windows and every direction seems to be a dead end.

    Thank you
    -Gav

Anywhere I can get it from? All torrents I've found are ridiculously slow, Rapidshare doesn't work for me.

Megaupload would be fantastic, of all the links I've found, the 6th part is "temporarily unavailable" which is no good for me.

I managed to get it, installation went fine, but I keep getting one error in particular; "InterfaceNamer: no network interfaces, could not update platform UUID."

I've installed it three different times with different networking drivers and it doesn't make a shred of difference.

I tried loading into safe mode, yet for it to hang on something else; "cs_invalid_page: p=64[mdworker] clearing CS_VALID". I left it for nearly 15 minutes and it did nothing so I assumed it was stuck.

Oh yeah, the first time I installed it installed to the wrong partition, so I completely emptied it. Now it recognizes it as an external hard drive as opposed to an internal one. Why? Could that be an issue?

I didn't try the cpus thing...I'll try that. Will that make my quadcore only function as a singlecore, though?

    And yeah, I customised.
I picked the nforce chipset & graphics drivers, because...well, I have an nVidia card, and the n looked right. No other basis for that.
The AC883 audio drivers (6-port), because I have that exact audio card.
I picked the extra fonts, the NTFS and ext2/3 filesysem support.
And I tried every network driver at least once, but still kept getting that "no network device" error.

I have all the drivers I need, they're on my memory stick. As soon as I boot it, I can install them.

Also, the external drive thing, is that an issue?
