    Do you type something wrong.

    Boot your PC.

Now, pressing F8 after OSX loads.

You see Darwin prompt, now type -S

Now, you see something lines, bla bla bla and a prompt.

    Now, type:

    /sbin/mount -uw / (Enter)

    rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleSMC.kext (Enter)

    rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext (Enter)

    rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/* (Enter)

    reboot (Enter)

OK? It's the only way to make your OSX run now.

    Default M8430F issues...

I have the same computer and am also trying to Hackintosh it.

After I press F8 on the OSX prompt, pressing "-S" makes it go back into normal booting into the installer. It STOPS at the same error that Nefarious specified. There is no prompt, it just freezes. That is what he's trying to tell you. I have the same problems with mine.

Is there any other way to bypass the -S command? Because it's no good.

    - JP

No have other way. Try Reinstall and b4 it, remove AppleSMC.kext on Terminal by OSX DVD (Menu Utilities / Terminal).

    Smile Got it working

Mount the image, delete IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext in /System/Library, then run the ADD_KEXT_TO_DVD script in Kalyway. This will clear the kext cache. Eject the volume, burn it, and you're good. Got it working on my brand new M8430F.

Which operating system were you using to "mount the image" and then delete the kext file? I'm using Vista (32-bit), and I mounted the image, but am unable to access the '/System/Library' folders.

Did you use Leopard (or Tiger) installed on a previous computer to do this with? It'd be VERY appreciated if you can thoroughly explain the process involved that you were finally able to accomplish the difficult task, of installing Leopard on the M8430F. Thank you!

Which ISO are you using? And thanks for reporting success... does it see both CPUs?

I just mounted Kalyway 10.5.2 AMD and Intel, i do not see system anywhere, what did you use to mount this? Mac or PC? I tried on my Macbook Pro so far with no luck

Unhappy Anyone have ideas on how to make this work?

So far I have tried Kalyway 10.5.2, iaktos through 4i, jas 10.5.2 beta, TOH, and Leo4AllV2-3.

Leo4all V3 will load if I do cpus=1, but after install I can not get it to boot back into leopard, when i run through the CD it does not see the new install to be selected, and If i try to do a dual boot, i can't get it to see the drive either.

I installed Mac Drive 7.2.0, the drive is there, the data is there, but no boot loader will see it, and the bood cd wont see it either.

    Very open to suggestions.

    Thanks

Try install Chamelon (is a bootloader), or reinstall entire system looking for bootloader options on Custon Installation.
