Holy crap, I actually got it to work. I'm not sure what did it though (What fixed the -f was deleting the Extensions.mkext file, but I'm not sure about the other stuff). I'll find out later. For now, I'm going to work on sound.

Good to hear, keep us updated with your solutions
For your sound, you might want to check this.

Dammit! I feel like an idiot. After I had everything working 100% perfect, I decided to update my system, thinking that it would have no effect on all the stuff I had already put on. Right on first boot, I'm back to square one. No Ethernet, no sound. I thought "Well, Ive done this before and I can do it again..." I was wrong (Again). The sound was fixed easily thanks to the AppleHDA Patcher, but I'm struggling with the Ethernet. None of the stuff I had done before works anymore, it's almost as if it was planned with the intention of screwing all the kexts over.
I will continue to do research on the subject when I recover from my headache.

Yeah, the update screwed it up. Maybe just reinstall because you have nothing to lose on the partition yet right?

I have absolutely nothing of importance on that partition. That is not an issue. But I see no reason why it should not work now if it was working perfectly just mere minutes before the update. I will exaust every single possibility until re-installing 10.5.5 is the last option.
I will try to get this to work tomorrow. If all fails, i'll re-install with another distro (iPC, which happens to already contain the 10.5.6 update) and try my best to get it to work from there. After I have done everything on my power to make the Ethernet function correctly, I will then re-install iATKOS 10.5.5. But until then, it would be nice to have an updated system.

Pyr0Byt3,
I have the exact same machine as you and am having a similar experience. Bought my first Mac (MBP) in November and two months later decided to try my hand at osx86. Installed Kalyway 10.5.2 about a week ago. Everything was fine except Audio and Ethernet. HDA Patcher with Sigmatel STAC9227 fixes the audio every time without a hitch. However, it only works with HDA Patcher 1.16. I was unable to get it to work with later versions. AppleIntel8255x.kext fixed the audio, but it was kind of quirky. The kext had to be modified with the 0x278086 insertion, but it didn't work automatically. What happened was I had to load the kext in the IONetworkingfamily.kext AND load it in the extensions file and after deleting from the latter, flushing the cache and repairing permissions, would get ethernet fully working on reboot.
I loaded Iatkos 10.5.5 last week and did the same modifications. Everything worked fine.
This week I loaded IPC 10.5.6 and it was working fine except for ethernet. I made the same mods as before and ethernet worked. Upon restart, the pc recognizes the ethernet, but says the cable is unplugged. So far I haven't found a workaround so I may try and load Ideneb 10.5.6 to see if any different results obtain.
Let me know if you figure any of this out.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the helpful comment. If you do try out iDeneb, tell me how it goes. This has been a freakin' nightmare for me. In order to install iPC, I actually had to install parts of iAtkos because I could not get the right driver configuration. So I installed iPC with the bare essentials, then I installed Titan and SATA AHCI from the iAtkos one. I did not expect it to work, but it did like a charm. The sound driver from iPC works flawlessly on the machine, but the Ethernet still remains a colossal pain. If all fails, I have 2 options. I can either go back to 10.5.5 and wait till something new comes out (The new Leo4All has caught my attention) or I might have to find a USB Ethernet sort of thing. Either way, I'm on the brink of giving up on this. If Either of us succeeds, I would like to publish a guide for others who might be breaking their heads with similar problems. Anyways, thanks and good luck.
