i installed iatkos v7, i used cpus=1 to get the install to go ahead. the install goes fine and restarts. then i come to the chameleon screen where it says press any key for boot settings.when i leave it to load it starts then reboots immediately. i tried using cpus=1 and -x -v and it appears to boot for a few mins scrolling through the writing. but then restarts always at the same point.
if you could help would be great though man. here agian is an indepth view of my system

well heres the thing in the installer (system profiler) osx recognises it :S though i understand there is a chance it wont work. the only customisations i made were the bootloaders. there is another bootloader in the list i could try that isnt chameleon but as for whether it will work i dunno, will see later, will an older osx tiger for example work with my card or is it just not osx compatible full stop. any other suggestions would be much appreciated. im just printing out as many possible solutions as poss so i can go through them systematically without keep installin osx and then windows etc

I would take out the card and use the integrated graphics to see if it boots up fine. If it does, you've isolated the problem. One thing you could try is disabling the card through the BIOS, though you'd still need to switch your monitor cable between cards if you're dual booting.

yeah that is one option and will give that a go too. does anyone know if the reboot loop is related to the graphics card then

Could be. when it starts, its trying to initiate the card to use for graphics. If its not a supported card than the initialization will fail and likely cause a restart. Additionally it could also be a corrupt install or any other known issue. It could be anything. You'll have to narrow it down 1 by 1.
