Ethernet Issues on Gateway GM5457E
I'm having some problems with my Ethernet on my machine (Installed Leopard 10.5.8 with iDeneb 1.6 Lite Edition).
The Ethernet did not work at first, so I opened up AppleIntel8255x.kext and inside the info.plist I added the 0x27dc8086 value under IOPCIMatch (Got this from doing some research). After that I deleted my Extensions.mkext file and rebooted with the -f option.
To my surprise, the Ethernet worked. After messing with safari for a while, I decided to reboot again and see if it stayed. After the reboot, my Ethernet failed. It shows up, but says it's not connected. I deleted my Extensions.mkext and rebooted with -f. It worked again.
This time I rebooted without deleting the Extensions.mkext and with the -f option (Unlike the previous time I got it working and rebooted, in which I did not set any options).
Basically what I'm saying is that it only works for ONE session and I have to delete the Extensions.mkext file in the session before and reboot with -f to get it running for the next time I boot it.
Here's the configuration I used and a whole bunch of my PC's Specs. Let me know if you need something else:
Thanks in advance for any help you can supply.

Been pinging away at it, but still no dice. There's gotta be someone out there with some kind of solution...
