Error iDeneb 1.5
Hello,
i tried to install iDeneb 1.5 1057 on my HP8510p.
I burned the iso image on a DVD and then i tried to install this.
The process stopped on the apple logo (there is a loop)
After that i used the "-v" option.
Then the error was (evertime in a loop)
SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, sense_key = 0x03, Asc = 0x11, ascq = 0x05
Disk1s2 i/0 error
localhost kernel[0]
How can i fix this? Did i have to change something in the iso? I googled it a lot but i didn't find a answer.

Hi there,
That error usually results from bad burned or bad media DVD, and/or corrupted iso, most of the times.
You could try to reburn the iso with good media at the slowest speed, and see if it would improve.

hi, thank's for the answer. Yes, the DVD is very old
today i'm going to buy some new empty DVD's. Is 4x speed too fast?

Hi,
Media selection, as long as it is of good quality because media speed rating is sometimes not very true. About burning, if that is the slowest you got then that is it
I've seen people doing it at 2.4, but whatever.
Also there are chances of the dl iso corrupted due to incorrect zip/unzip, up/downloading.
But you should try simple step first to see.
Good luck.

Hi,
Glad you got that taking care of, good job
You don't have to format hdd for it to see, although partition/format should be done before the final disk reformat/verification with disk utility in OSX installer.
That problem usually arises from incompatible SATA/IDE controller mode/driver, which happens in many systems.
Do you know what chipsets it is in your motherboard? Is there an option in your BIOS to set SATA to AHCI? What type of hdd and DVD drives are in your system? You can also use CPU-Z to check your hardware specs.
I can look it up for you but it will take some times, if you could check then I would be able to response quicker.
Cheers

hi, no need to search for drivers and co. I tried to change something in the bios (i think it was SATA = disabled or tranlation mode of the hdd) don't know what, but know it's still installing osx
