so i gave my dell hackintosh to my mom, and she has decided that she wants windows on it as well. so i spent all day installing windows, ended up having to get another hard drive, put it in another computer, installed windows 7, then put the drive into the dell. long story short: the bootloader ONLY sees the OS X partition. and doesnt give me time to pick.
I installed the older bootloader off the iDeneb CD.. chameleon 1.0.11, if i remember correctly. it will not see the NTFS partitions. However, while in mac OS X, i can go into the windows drives. i just cant boot on them. so my question is: how can i run a dual boot like i have on my AMD system? (on my AMD i have chameleon 2.0 and no problems).
if i need to update the bootloader, how do i do it? can i just install 2.0 over 1.0.11 from the install dvd?
id rather not because im scared to change the bootloader, first time i tried installing on the dell i used 2.0 and it would freeze at the grey apple screen.
