Dual boot error: OSX stopped booting after win7 installation
Hello everyone, I'm really sorry if this is a repeat problem...
So I successfully installed and updated my 1000HE to SL 10.6.4. I had made 4 partitions (1 GUID for osx, the rest FAT for Win7, Extra Storage, and Ubuntu in that order)
So after i installed osx, i proceeded to install win7 through USB. I successfully installed win7 (which is what im using now) and because of that, my netbook only boots straight to win7. Since I didn't know how to install chameleon bootloader in windows and also the disk management in win7 won't let me select the GUID partition as the active one, it only boots to win7.
I later then installed Chameleon onto a USB from another pc that had leopard on it. Using that, I was able to use bootloader again to choose OSX. However after selecting OSX, it just hangs on the gray background/white apple logo. There doesn't seem to be any HD activity and the spinning icon that normall appears doesn't pop up at all. I tried booting with '-x' and 'recovery=y' but the same problem persists. Did i do something wrong? Should I have somehow copied the GUID partition to an MBR one? Is there any way i can still load osx?
Thanks!
