Dual Boot on 2 HDDs failed
I'll start off with the Specs of my computer, as I built this from scratch:
Intel Core i7 920 Processor
EVGA x58 Motherboard
XFX nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition Video Card
WD 500GB HDD 7200 RPM 32MB Cache (x2)
850W Corsair Power Supply
GSKILL 6GB DDR3 Triple Channel 1088 MHz RAM
Now for the problem:
I recently downloaded and burned iATKOS 5i
Burned it to a 4.7GB DVD+RW Disc, ran it from the disc drive, hit F8, and then typed "-v" then hit ENTER. I created a partition on my Second Hard drive (the one without Vista), selected format type "MAC OSX Extended (Journaled)", and labeled it "Mac OS X". I then installed, followed the instructions on screen, did NOT select any addons to the installation other than the default, was prompted for the restart, and restarted. I then start up through my PC's BIOS menu and select the HDD with Leopard "supposedly" installed on. It failed. I saw the grey Apple screen in the background for a split second, then the computer restarted. I then figured that I needed to boot from the DVD, but no luck because it would just prompt me for installation again. I am able to boot Vista fine after all of this, so my base HDD was not affected, as it shouldn't have been.
What am I doing wrong? What am I not doing? Are my system components compatible?
