    Unhappy desperation installation

    Hi,

I'm new to the hackintosh scene but I read a lot. I'm currently trying to install iDeneb 10.5.6 on my not to old toshiba notebook, a satellite m40 (PSM40C-SF300E). Quickly, it has a intel pentium M, intel chipset i915PM/GM, 512 mb ram and a IDE hard drive. I've also tried to install iAktos 10.5.5 with no success.

My problem occurs at the installation. In verbose mode, when I boot from the installation cd, the "Still waiting for root device" message always prompt. I don't have an external usb dvd and I wanna know if it exist other solution.

    Thanks Guys!

I've already tried to install ideneb 10.5.6 with the command "rd=disk0s1 -v -x" and "rd=disk0s2 -v -x" and I had the same problem. The "Still waiting for root device" was prompting. Did I miss something?

I can't install it because when I boot from the installation dvd, it stuck and waiting. Also, I don't think if I use the command "cpu=1" will be usefull because it's a single core notebook. I suspect the hard drive to be the cause of my problem. It is running full speed when I got the message. Any other ideas?
