Dell Studio XPS 1340 Install

Hi I just purchased a Dell Studio XPS 1340 and was wondering if anyone has been able to successfully install this on it. If so could you recommend any pointers/suggestions. I am still reading on how to do this but I wanted to see if anyone knew of any compatibilty issues before hand. Thanks.

Looks great, try with iPC or Ideneb, enable XD Bit in the BIOS.

hey, GHETTO.CHILD,

I have the same laptop, same specs too except I opted for the 320Gb Hard drive. I'm running iDeneb 1.4 (10.5.6) right now... I just installed it today actually. I chose the Macbook BIOS and left everything else pretty much as is. The only thing I haven't been able to get working is the Nvidia 9500M video card, and the audio. I'm playing around with it, so far I've tried both Nvidia patches NVInject and NVDarwin, both with no luck, it would't boot with either patch installed.
Using the IDT audio patch doesn't work as well.

I'll post updates to this thread.

Does anyone have any idea how to get drivers for the nVidia 9500M video card working? I figure it should be easy, since it's so similar to the 9400M video card which the actual macbook comes with (9500 is really just a 9400 and a 9200 card)

I tried this on my friend's studio xps 1340 tonight. Went pretty well through the install. Used some suggestions on other threads for what drivers and such to install, but it won't boot. Seems to have some kind of disk error. I tried to boot in verbose with safe mode and with the "-f" arguement. Does anyone have any other suggestions or success with this laptop?
