    Default Computer Rebbots :(

Hey guys! Someone reccommended me here, saying you guys are much friendlier than other forums.

So heres my prob. I had os x 10.5.6 installed on an external usb HD (along with ubuntu linux) working fine. Recently i decided to update my computers RAM. After i did, i suddenly could not get into Mac anymore. Everytime i booted from USB HD (which had the chameleon bootloader by the way) my computer would restart. I set the ubuntu partition active and that boots up fine... Some help would be greatly appreciated.

i never get to darwin, a blank screen appears for about a second, and my computer reboots. Funny thing is i also have ubuntu installed on the external hd and it boots fine.
Maybe i have to manually update the system information?
