    I have tryed with iDeneb v1.3 and v1.4 i have tryed iPC iPC X-DL 10.5.6 and OSx86 10.5.6 Universal PPF5.

I get the same error almost al the time. (I cant even remeber everything. I have tryed so many diffrent dist and so many different flags.)

    I get this error:

    panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001B10AE): "Local APIC error\n"@/voodooKernel/xnu-1228.7.58/osfmk/i386/mp.c:809
    Debugger called <panic>
Backtrace (CPU), Frame : Return Adress (4 potential args on stack)

Then there is like 10 lines of different 0x14e**** lines

BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task

    Mac OS version:
    Not yet set

    Kernel version:
    Darwin Kernel Version 9.5.0: Sat Dec 6 19:39:54 IST 2008; Voodoo; Release 1.0 :xnu-1228.7.58/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386

I have searched for this problem for two days now but i cant find a good answre .

    I have a Toshiba Tecra A8:
    type : Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology featuring Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T5500, Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network connection and Intel® 945GM Express chipset
    clock speed : 1.66 GHz
Front Side Bus : 667 MHz
    2nd level cache : 2 MB

Does any one have any idea what i can do to get it to work?

w00t all that @_o; well with your processor you dont need a patched kernel like voodoo, how did you customize your installation?

The only thing i have tryed is different flags like -x -v -s -f and different platforms X86PC and ACPI and vanilla kernel.

And i have done this with iDeneb iPC, diferent versions of those.

    Any suggestion?

I havent reached the installation yet. I got there two times but the installation failed the first time the second time
i got the bluescreen. So now i started over from scratch. But know i cant get to the installation.

for your error seems like you installed voodoo, no Vanilla, anyway the second one looks about right, when you get the blue screen, you can try to boot in safe mode, in some laptops theres a trick with a paper clip in the vga output, google the trick try ;P

    Ok. thanks.
the thing is that when i do exactly the same thing as i did before (when it worked) i get this error befor i reach the installations. The comp is formatted and everything is back to when i started.
But i get this kernel panic. I will test with the vanilla kernel again and se if i can get to the bluescreen again.

So i have tryed to start with the vanilla kernel.

    I tryed these things.

    vanilla -v (The comp reboots)
vanilla idlehalt=0 -v (The comp rebots)
vanilla cpus=1 -v (The comp reboots)
    vanilla platform=X86PC idlehalt=0 -x -v (The comp reboots)

    Vanilla cpus=1 idlehalt=0 -v
(This gives me a panic, BSD process name corresponding to current thread: Directoryservice )

Vanilla cpus=1 idlehalt=0 -x -v (This gives me a panic, BSD process name corresponding to current thread: Securityd)

vanilla platform=X86PC idlehalt=0 cpus=1 -x -v (This gives me a panic, BSD process name corresponding to current thread: Kernel_task)

Any ide of what i can do to get past this?

    *I treid this with OSx86 10.5.6 Universal PPF5

Why are you using those flags? you have to install it again, dont select any kernel, it will install vanilla kernel for default, if you already installed voodoo, it wont work... please go to the official site, and the check whats the basic to install, seems like your confused

Ok i will try to explain. Not so good at that but anyway.

I have my Toshiba all clean now, nothing is on it. I put in the dvd that conatians OSx86 10.5.6 Universal PPF5. When it boots up i will just hit enter. Now it starts booting the installation but when it does it gets a kernel panic, and it says there that it is voodoo or something it stands some where in the text.

So thats why i hit F8 and test with writing vanilla insted. but then my comp just reboots that is when i start testing with different flags to se if i cant get it to boot without any panics or rebboting.

    Or tingle with BIOS setting.
Things like hyper threading = disable. Virtualization = disable ....
