When I boot from the CD the apple icon shows with the loading swirl at the bottom. After aout 4 minutes a cancel sign shows up over the apple logo. I let that sit for 20 minutes and nothing happened. I tried about 3 times... same story. Any help?

Separate issue, I have a 3ware ATA controller that has 3 hot swappable hard drives in it. Will this work with OS X? I don't care about the hot swapping, I just want to access the files so I can share them over my network.
