Bootloader not working (iPC 10.5.6)
Hi,
I just installed an OS X 86 version: iPC 10.5.6. I have one SATA II harddisc at the first place and 1 DVD Drive over IDE. My board is an Asrock Conroe1333-DVI/H.
So after I installed it I rebooted and wanted to start without the DVD. It didnt work. But I can boot with DVD.(btw. why?)
So then I had a shot at some suggestions of some users. I used the osx86 tools to make a bootloader but fdisk said it is unable to complete and besides only the Chamleon works, the others have failures.
So after this I thought it might work with one of the bootloaders of the installation - didnt work. Here the failure message is a bit different boot: MBR / boot:0 insted of boot: MBR / boot: 1 / boot: 0.
By the way my BIOS is the right 1.40 version and I have all the right preferences.
So could anyone help me please. Why is the bootloader not working?
Is there a way to manually edit the bootloader? Can I install grub to boot the OS X?
Edit: I have only 1 partition on the hdd where I install the OS X.
Thanks in advance!
