    Hi,

I've tried the Bootloader that is available on this thread and unfortunately, my computer will not recognize it?

I have a SATA DVD drive and in my BIOS it is the only Bootable drive, the DVD drive is working fine as I tried to boot from the Windows XP CD and it did so fine.

    The message reads:

"Reboot and select proper Media device or Insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

Any ideas? I want to use this method so I can have flawless updates rather than Ideneb where you have to wait for patches and files to appear for the OS X updates.

Been at this all day and still no luck.

My motherboard is also a Asus P5KPL
    X1900XTX graphics card
Built in sound in the mobo
    SATA HDD
    Core 2 Quad 2.83 processor

    Thanks again

Been trying everything, the GPU was given free to me and can be replaced, my main worry is the Motherboard.

No bootloader is working, I even downloaded Idenb and when the DVD drive is first boot priority, it still says insert bootable media.

Is it wrong If I am burning the bootloader's and Ideneb to CD/DVD by my MacBook? Should I use a windows PC to burn the image bootloader (boot132) and Ideneb?

Default Installation trouble on Abit Fatal1ty F190-HD

    Hi All,

This is my first post after bumming around the threads for a while. Thanks in advance for letting a noob pick your brains!

I've been using Kalyway for a while (10.5.2 updated with the Kalyway combo to 10.5.3) but I have issues with connecting USB and firewire devices, so I want to try retail.

I tried installing with the standard boot-132, and after swapping to Leopard DVD I can't get passed "waiting for root device".

    Same with munky's dfe-modbin version.

I'm now trying with the grub-dfe iso but it doesn't like something about my cpu multiplier ("Attempting to determine CPU Multiplier. If System reboots, RDMSR causes a fault")... honestly it goes by too quickly for me to read, then reboots. I have disabled the MaxCPULimit option in my bios.

I'm using IDE DVD drive and HDD, they're the only drives connected. I have tried installing in Native IDE, Legacy IDE, and AHCI modes, all fail waiting for a root device.

    Specs:

    Pentium D 805 2.66gHz
    Abit Fatal1ty F190-HD
    Corsair XMS2-6400 8gb
    EVGA nVidia 7600gs
WD Caviar 120gb Advanced IDE HDD -slave
    LG IDE DVD-Multi -master
