I too have a HP dv9000 Laptop that is having installation issues. I use Boot-132 and a purchased copy of Leo and it freezes with 8 mins to go on installation. I had tested iatkos v7 on it which worked fine (except keyboard/touchpad), but wanted a legit install.

I'm a new convert so any advice would be helpful

Okay, I got it to complete installation but on reboot I just get a blinking cursor right after POST.

    Thoughts?

Okay, this seems to be an effort of 'self-help' so unless anyone has a problem with it I'll continue to edit these posts in an attempt to help other newbies.

    So far, I've found out:

    1) that you periodically need to move your mouse during installation or you run the risk of freezing up (at least my pavillion dv9000 did)

    2) When you use Boot-132, it doesn't modify your legit LEO installed bootloader, so you need to use the disk each and every time you want to run OSX (until you modify the local bootloader anyway).

These may seem obvious now, but to a newbie these are helpful to know.

    Default Boot 132 for AMD

Hello I am needing some help. I have bought a copy of of leopard 10.5.6, and if I would of known it was gonna be so hard (for me) to modify boot 132 I would of gone with a Intel system. I need help locating a modified boot 132 with voodoo kernel or a simple walkthrough for a noob to follow to make my own.

    Unhappy Hi noob here...

Hi all, it might sound weird but for some reason when i made my Boot 132 CD for boot up, it starts in an command prompt as:
    A:\

    and i tried C:
    C:\

it has the boot bin and intird.dmg but i don't know what m suppose to do. All the tutorials say that when the boot prompts, swap the cd with Retail DVD, but in my case i don't even get that far.

What should i do? what m doing wrong?

PS: I download the file given in the orginal post and unzipped it then burn the .iso to the cd, then i also unzipped the .iso then burnt again, but it still A:
and in C:\ dir i see the Boot and all the files i need. but why is it not booting in the way its suppose to.

    Thnx in advance.
