Q8200
so far, with the quad core Q8200, it crashes like the dickens!!! i have edited the DSDT, which helps when it wants to work, but it doesn't always want to work. i think its more of a problem with the audio or nvidia video kexts (nvs 290 PCIe) causing the crashes, but not yet sure.
anyone else running a similar setup?

Update
OK, did a LOT of research, tweaked the BIOS settings, and voila! With iATKOS v7 10.5.7, everything but audio works including the vanilla kernel. Not too concerned with the audio right now because I know how to fix it, just wanted to get 10.5.7 running stable on all 4 cores. Once I got the BIOS settings correct and figured out what options to choose in the iATKOS setup, it was very easy. No crashes after 2 - 3 days.
Used the nvinject 0.2.1 from the iATKOS package and it works flawlessly with the NVS 290 - dual monitors, 1400x1050, QE/CI hardware supported. Also, did the DSDT patch and no longer have to type cpus=1 to boot, and all 4 cores are showing in Activity Monitor.
I even discovered by accident last night that the deep sleep works properly - I thought the computer had crashed and turned itself off. But hitting the power button brought the desktop back almost instantly - imagine my surprise!
Once I get home from work and finish my 'chores', i'll post a guide so that other users with this board can get Leo running.

Hi Guys!
I was the one who wrote it on the wiki..but unfortunately some dude erased my post! Maybe a genuine wiki cleanup or some dude did it accidentally.
Anyway, I'm running iPC with updates to 10.5.8. I've a spare HD to try Snow Leo this week. I'll put it up on the wiki if successful. Wish me luck!

I have tried iATKOS but with no success - cpu related? (I'm using Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz E7300). But iPC 10.5.6 distro works fine for me...can reach the GUI screen where I can choose which kexts to install. For those who are still struggling, try NVEnabler 0.1 - it works for me.
slaughter111, can you share your BIOS tweaks? Thanks!

Guys,
does someone have a working DSDT for this board?
I tried to get mine modified but wasn't successfull completely.
i patched sound, HPET, speedstep (cpu is E5200) and RTC.
OSX 10.6.4 is running but speedstep is not working as expected (either always low speed or always high). Sound doesn't work. Sleep doesn't work.
Any suggestions?
Thx M.
