Question BIOS and HP Pavilion p6029de

    Hello,
I am a total beginner in this world. I recently bought an HP Pavilion p6029de on sale at a big chain. It is the first "non custom" PC I own ever.
That said, I couldn't resist some modification. It came with 2x640 GB WD HD that I stripped away and substituted with 2 250GB Samsung I had spare.
Of course, to make thing easy, I configured them in RAID 0 and installed Windows 7. So it is a pretty unusual configuration.
I would like to install MacOS X, too (only a test in order to evaluate purchasing a real Apple Mac, of course).
I already tried with Kalyway 10.5.2 (doesn't even try to boot) and iPC live DVD DL (boots but hangs short after showing the apple logo).

I would like to try icchansan guide on "How to install SNOW LEOPARD on HP Pavilion Elite Desktop" but I have a big concern, before I begin.

I have never tryed a MOD BIOS before. Will my system work? Will I be able to revert to what I have now in case of failure?

    The configuratin is as follows.

    Core 2 Quad Q8200 (Y) 2.33 GHz (65W)
    Intel G33 Express
    Asus IPIBL-LB
    HP/Compaq motherboard name: Benicia-GL8E
    Memory Installed 6 GB
    500 GB (2 x 250) SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec) RAID 0 7200 rpm
    DVD+/-R/RW 16X 12X +/-DL LS 12X RAM SuperMulti SATA drive
Video Graphics nVidia GeForce GT120 1 GB GDDR2 memory
Integrated High Definition audio Realtek ALC 888S chipset
    Integrated 10/100/1000 Base-T networking interface
    Memory card reader

Your PC is compatible if you use my guide, if you read the whole guide, you'll noticed that I reopen the thread cuz we got lots of success, so close the thread after 70 pages I think and reopen, we have now like 30, so... the guide works, i have like 1 years using my system without problem, theres even a guide to install SNOW for HP Pavilion.

the installation should be ok... but I think theres no support for your video card... try google before trying, thats the only thing. Everything should work without problem

TIP, check in netkas site about your video or HCL
