    Default Asus X50V Laptop don't show destination/partitons

    Hello,

the idea of having OS X on my laptop is great. Ubuntu and Opensuse get's a little boring.

My laptop is an Asus X50V (F5 series)

The bios is updated, linux distro's run perfect.

    The problem:
After loading OS X it's not showing any partitions/destinations. It does not reconize my Hard disk, i think. Also when go to the tool to set up the partitions i can't see my hard disk.

My hardddisk is a 160Gb Hitachi IDE-interface disk (original in laptop)

I hope you experts can help me out.

    thnx.

if your disk dont appear like in this pic, maybe its not compatible... try with a external one, good luck

You can try with another distro, if it doesnt work you can always try with a USB HDD or Firewire without any problem, no weird brands
