So far of the 4 distros ive tried ideneb 1.4 gets the farthest. it will install completely.. reboot.. then waiting for root device.. how can it not find the drive it is running on?? I have tried everything i can think of.. ive tried with both nforce chipset kexts.. voodoo kernal. and seatbelt fix.. ive tried booting with -f... I have even completely disabled anything non essential in bios.. setup is as follows


Asus M3N-HT
Athlon64x2 7750 (2.7ghz)
2gb pc2-8500
320gb hd - Sata - disabled
250gb hd - Sata - disabled
80gb eide - osx drive
asus dvdrw - Sata - disabled
Pioneer dvdrw - eide
2 x XFX 9800gt 512mb

I have tried it with ahci on for the sata controller and can get to the same place... My last attempt I had completely disabled the sata in bios.. so as far as osx goes it only sees the one 80gb ide drive im using for osx.. and the one ide dvdrw.. and still waiting for root devide.. ahhh! its gettin old.. HELP! please..
