About LinkBacksHi. I am new to the Hackintosh world
Yesterday, after like 15 tries I got the v7 version to work on my Dell Inspiron 530s
But then I went on System Preferences and selected Software Update
It updated and then the computer restarted. then it wont boot the OS anymore. It just stays on the loading screen forever. I tried 2 more times and same thing.
Is there a way to update the software without getting this problem?

What distro did you install? did you try to boot in force mode or safe mode? are you using any patched kernel?

I just updated every software. except the OS it self.
I have the 10.5.7 and when I use the ''Software Update'' on System Preferences to update the OS to 10.5.8. It wont boot anymore
What do I do?
One more thing: WHere can I download a new Video Driver
Both my video card and my Monitor support 1440 x 900

What distribution are you using to install? ideneb, ipc, iatkos, leo4all, others...

oh ok. I am using iatkos v7. on the instalation I installed intel video drivers but it still shows that I can only use low resolutions.
my video card is just one that came stock on my pc. It is a Dell inspiron 530s it is not a good video card. but i am sure it supports 1440 x 900.
How can I install upgrades like the 10.5.8 or the Snow Leopard

With iatkos v7 you should be able to upgrade to 10.5.8 without problems... are you using a patched kernel?
once again you didnt post your video card.
