Default Almost There! Please Help! Video related

The computer seems to boot fine (although Apple-white screen takes a while!) and then it goes into the "intro short movie for leopard" where it asks to register, however, I just hear the music and the screen is blank (black). There is nothing on the screen.

I have a Sony Vaio (late 2005) Pentium M 1.86ghz with nVidia GeForce Go 6400. I chose nVidia Go in the customize part of the install (iDeneb 10.5.6).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

#1 - try to boot up with -x to see if you can get through that part.

#2 - try to connect to an external monitor to see if you can see

-x = doesn't work= same thing, except it took forever to boot. I don't have an external monitor... Is there any other driver choice besides nVidia Go that I should choose that would work with my nVidia Go Geforce 6400? I'm assuming on the choice of the video driver can make this happen since it seems to be booting in and that I hear the sound of the intro video... ??? Or would another type of driver (kernel, etc) affect this?

My thinking is your system boots up but it cannot detect the type of display you have hence defaulting to a higher resolution which your panel cannot display. That's why I suggest try with external monitor.
    Just a wild guess

Ok, so lets say it displays on an external monitor, what do I then do to get it to work on the laptop's monitor?
