I've got a fully functional OS running but the only thing is my 8600M GT doesn't want to do anything hardware specific. Like I try to run WoW and it was "WoW cannot start 3D Acceleration". I've tried a number of kexts and driver packs and can't find anything that gives it Quartz support either. Can anyone please help? Tearing my hair out

Have you try the ATI ATY_init (or it later version) injection method? Should work for NV 8/9 series.

No, I have not. Is there more information on this?

Hi,
If all of your kexts are not working then you should delete everything related to NV card. Locate the ATI ATY_init kext and install it (repair permission, delete kext cache, rebuild mkext), and with Chameleon loader it should pickup you video card. Good luck.
