Question 10.5.8 Update Broke Several Things...

    Hello all,

Yesterday, I installed hackintosh on my Asus G60VX using an iAtkos disk.

I have done this installation before, and even on the same laptop before.

The installation went smoothly, I'm nearly certain I chose all the right kexts, etc.

Everything went fine until I decided to update to 10.5.8 using the software update utility inside of OS X.

The update itself went fine; however after booting, I was greeted with several OS crippling errors.

    1. The OS itself seems painfully slow. This is best exemplified with the mouse movements being almost unusably choppy and laggy. This can also be seen when typing, as there are delays, however they are not nearly as bad as the mouse movements.

    2. The built-in trackpad and keyboard completely stopped working, and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I am forced to use an external mouse and keyboard, and despite having Voodoo PS2 installed, the stock trackpad and keyboard refuse to work.

For the slow OS/mouse, I have already tried the AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext removal fix, however it had no effect.

As for the built in mouse and keyboard problem I'm completely stumped.

If anyone has any ideas or feedback it would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
