Default 10.5.5 install on Dell 9100, almost there....

I had installed Kalyway 10.5.2 without any trouble on my Dell Dimension 9100. I had to add the vendorID/deviceID for my Intel Pro network card to come up, which it then did fine. And I used NVInject to get my GeForce 6800 vid card to come up, which it then did, at 1900x1200 resolution.

I then proceeded to build a few iPhone apps, but I then found you cannot push them to the store without running at least 10.5.4 (or .3). I tried the 10.5.3 ComboUpdate, and could not get it to work, despite following several different directions and trying everything I could think of.

I then tried iATKOS v5 10.5.5. The install goes fine, but no matter what options I install with, I get the same result. It first fails with mDNSResolver, but if I boot into safe mode and add the vendorID/deviceID for my Intel Pro network card, upon rebooting it gets past this, the network card gets an IP, but then it sticks at: "ocspd starting".

Any ideas? It seems that if my machine would run 10.5.2 just fine, there has to be some way to get it to run 10.5.5

    Here's the hardware:

    Dell Dimension 9100
    -------------------------
    Pentium 4 3.0GHz
    1GB of RAM
    Onboard Intel Pro network card
    GeForce 6800 Ti 256MB
Soundblaster Live! Sound card (I know, there is no driver, I'm fine with no sound)
    SATA harddrive

Also, I had my SATA drive set to AHCI mode, worked fine in 10.5.2, and works fine for bringing up the install process for iATKOS v5, but when it boots the OS, it cannot fine the root device so I have to switch the mode to "Combination (SATA/PATA)" in order for it to see it. The OS says it fails to load the AHCI kext.

Just to make a quick follow-up: If I'm able to boot into the 10.5.5 OS in safe mode, then it must be a driver issue, right? Does this rule out any kernel issue? Does anybody know what driver is being accessed at or around this ocspd call? How can I find what driver is causing the problem and try to delete/remove it, or is this not the best course of action?

Anybody have any better luck with the iPC 10.5.6 install disc?

I've got a Dell Dimension 9100 with an ATI x600 Video card and a Netgear WG311v3 wifi card.
Maybe we should talk? I've got 10.5.2 Kalyway installed, but I want to install Snow Leopard.
I wanna do iPhone dev from this system, I already do development from my MacBook, this is for a partner.
Any help or advice you have would be wonderful...
