    Hi, everyone:
So I upgraded to iOS 5 in my iPad and iPhone. My iPhone responded to iCloud right away, and I synced everything with no problem. When I upgraded my iPad, everything went well except for the daaaamn iCloud. It's stuck at "Verifying" at settings when I try to activate iCloud there. Anyone else got the same problem?

    Thanks!

Solved it... Hope it helps. Went into https://appleid.apple.com and synced my email address (Had two different emails in primary and secondary) and verified both. My ipad accepted iCloud and my iPhone as well.
Ended up with another problem: it wiped all my contacts from iPhone. Currently restoring my iPhone to retrieve all my contacts. Let's hope I can merge the contacts to iCloud...

I have been unable to set up my icloud after 10.7.2 update. It works fine with iphone but I get an error when I try ad set up on my desktop.
    " Cannot Sign Up
This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account."

Then underneath the username and password field i get:
    Unrecognized Apple ID or Password.

I get this error no matter what I key in this field, jkhdslkfh, etc. no matter what i get the same error

This reminds me of previous builds and the error logging into the mac app store with 10.6.8...? Any Help?????

There's an appstore app called PhoneCopy which stores your contacts on a server and has proven to me reliable and most useful. compatible with iphone and ipad. At the very least I sync it before I restore / upgrade so I don't worry about losing contacts. Sounds like you guys should get the app too, and perhaps anyone about to get into the cloud. It's free by the way.
